The membrane acts as an impermeable barrier to water, moisture and gas while providing good puncture resistance during placement of reinforcement bars. The membrane is inert and is resistant to chemicals, acids, bases, alkalis and salts – providing excellent corrosion resistance.

EPDM is an amorphous elastomer obtained by the copolymerization of ethylene, propylene and a non-conjugated diene monomer. EPDM is a polymer composed of saturated linear macromolecules with a paraffinic structure. Because the EPDM material remains saturated after vulcanisation it resists degradation due to oxidation.

SmartCare EPDM Membrane is a preformed elastomeric waterproofing membrane made up of high quality EPDM rubber. This membrane exhibits high tensile strength, elongation, tear strength and is also resistant to weathering, heat ageing, ozone, UV rays, acids, alkalis & oxygenated solvents.
